IBM "EventODD" vs. HP RAID ADG
Hi,
anyone have idea about why the IBM did not implement the so-called "RAID ADG" or "RAID 6" ?
It is interesting to note that the dual parity method had once been published on ISCA IEEE by M. Blaum et. al. from IBM Almaden Researcj Center,
with title of
"EVENODD:An Optimal Scheme for Tolerating....".
I am trying to justify myself to see if the "ADG" is really a new delightign one...
